Hilltop Accommodation is located at Papatowai, in the Catlins, on the Southern Scenic Route. We are your ideal holiday base in the heart of the Catlins, halfway between Dunedin and Invercargill. We are 58 km from Balclutha, and 26 km from Owaka. From the south we are 46 km from Waikawa – Curio Bay.

Look out for the blue reflective “Accommodation” sign at the Tahakopa Valley Road intersection just 300 metres south of the Tahakopa River bridge and 150 metre north of the Papatowai Store. Turn inland up the Tahakopa Valley Road and drive 770 metres to the Hilltop signs. Turn up our drive and over the cattle stop, past the woolshed and the chickens, before going up the hill.
